“Labour Department Takes Job Creation to the Doorsteps of Ghanaians”
The Ghana Labour Department has launched a nationwide job creation initiative, dubbed the ‘JOBS’ Roadshow, aimed at connecting job seekers with potential employers and promoting access to decent work opportunities.
The campaign, in collaboration with the EU-Germany-Ghana Joint Action for Jobs, Migration and Development (JMD), will tour various communities across the country, providing free employment services and strengthening the Ghana Labour Market Information System (GLMIS).
The ‘JOBS’ Roadshow will visit communities across the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions, providing job seekers with access to employment services and opportunities.
The Labour Department will offer free employment services, including job placement, career development, and labour market information.
The initiative aims to strengthen the GLMIS as a centralized platform for job matching and labour market data, enabling better planning and decision-making.
Increase awareness of free employment services offered by the Labour Department.
Enhance job placement by connecting job seekers and employers.
Promote safe, legal migration pathways and strengthen the role of the Labour Department as a national hub for career development.
“Our mission is to empower Ghanaians, especially young people, to access sustainable jobs.”
“JMD is proud to support this initiative, which will help build confidence in public employment services and promote collaboration with the Labour Department.”
The Labour Department is encouraging Ghanaians, particularly youth, women, and persons with disabilities, to take advantage of the ‘JOBS’ Roadshow and access employment services and opportunities.
