"Ghana Police Service Updates Public on Major Cases"

The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID), led by Director-General Commissioner of Police (COP) Lydia Yaako Donkor, has provided comprehensive updates on four major cases, showcasing the department’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and justice.
The CID revealed that Samuel Amwa, alias Biggie, has been arrested and taken into custody in connection with the murder of three persons, including his girlfriend, Alberta Hagan, and two of her children, at Kasoa’s Cuba Netlink Estates. According to investigations, the suspect allegedly attacked the victims in a fit of rage over a financial dispute, resulting in severe head injuries that led to their deaths.
The police acted swiftly, responding to the incident on May 19, 2024, and promptly proceeding to the scene, where they found the bodies of the deceased persons and a severely injured child who was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident, two suspects, Prince Opoku and Jennifer Inweke, were arrested in connection with a robbery incident at Spintex Road, Accra. The suspects allegedly stole gold jewelry, a laptop, wristwatches, handbags, clothing, and cash, including $5,000 and GHC 21,645, from the residence of a 35-year-old man. The police retrieved evidence, including a machete, metal cutter, and T-shirt, believed to have been left behind by the suspects.
