Traffic Chaos on the Streets of Accra: A Plea for Relief

A lecturer at the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Kofi Otchere-Larbi, has expressed frustration with the traffic congestion on the roads leading to Methodist Girls Senior High School. The traffic jam, which starts from the Two Volta Events area, has become a recurring issue, especially during school reopening periods.

According to Kofi, the congestion is caused by parents dropping off their wards, resulting in gridlock on the roads. He appealed to authorities to find alternative solutions for parents to drop off their children, such as directing them to specific areas or implementing a more efficient system.

The traffic situation has become so dire that Kofi, who was heading to a meeting, found himself stuck in traffic from Kitase to the school. He advised drivers to consider alternative routes to avoid the congestion.

This is not the first time traffic congestion has plagued the area, and it highlights the need for a more sustainable solution to manage the flow of traffic during peak periods.
