EASTERN REGIONAL GUTA WOMEN'S WING INAUGURATED

In an effort to bolster and strengthen the various businesses operating within the country, the National Women’s Wing embarked on a dynamic initiative in Koforidua, aiming to empower women by facilitating their entry into trading, with a particular focus on those affiliated with the women’s wing.
The event marks a significant milestone in promoting female entrepreneurship and enhancing economic participation among women, they moved through the principal street in Koforidua to create awareness of how important women needs to be emporwered into business
Addressing the media at the gathering was the General Secretary for the National Women’s Wing, Mrs. Gifty Naana Fianu, who articulated the vision and mission behind the initiative on behalf of their national chairperson, Mrs. Pearl Poku. Mrs. Poku had the honor of inaugurating this important sector in the eastern region with the intention of initiating transformative work that would support and uplift local women’s economic involvement in the area.
During her speech, Mrs. Fianu emphasized the underlying motives driving this empowering exercise, noting that similar initiatives had seen success the previous year in Greater Accra, where the Hon Minister for Trade actively participated in their efforts, offering encouragement to women aspiring to break into the world of business.
Through her remarks, Mrs. Fianu illustrated the importance of such programs and their potential to inspire women to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors and achieve financial independence.
