NPP Lost Because Party Was Weak, Not Candidate – Boakye Agyarko

Former Energy Minister and NPP National Chairman hopeful, Boakye Agyarko says the party’s defeat in the 2024 elections was due to a weak party structure and not its candidate.

Mr. Agyarko made the statement after officially filing his nomination to contest for the National Chairman position of the New Patriotic Party.

He pledged to rebuild the party into a strong and formidable force to win power in 2028.

I will do everything possible to bring Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to power in 2028. I do this for the party I love, for the party I have served since 1992, he said.

According to him, the NPP will bounce back despite its current challenges.

The party may have gone down after the 2024 elections, but we are not out. The NPP shall rise again, he added.
