Cocoa Marketers CEO Calls For Better Support For Local Cocoa Trade

The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Cocoa Marketers, Ghana, Mr. Victus Dzah, has called for stronger support for local cocoa marketers to help grow the industry and protect farmers’ livelihoods.
Speaking at [mention event/venue], Mr. Dzah said cocoa marketing plays a key role in Ghana’s economy and employs thousands of people across the country.
“We need policies that will make it easier for local cocoa marketers to operate, access financing, and compete fairly,”_ he said.
Mr. Dzah noted that the Chamber is committed to working with government, COCOBOD and other stakeholders to address challenges facing the sector, including pricing, storage and transportation.
He added that empowering Ghanaian cocoa marketers will ensure more value stays in the country and create more jobs for the youth.
The Chamber of Cocoa Marketers Ghana represents companies and individuals involved in the buying, selling and distribution of cocoa and cocoa products.
