“Ghana Police Service Successfully Apprehends Notorious Armed Robbery Suspect”

The Ghana Police Service has announced the successful apprehension of a notorious armed robbery suspect, Adinda Apo Abdul Mujibu, who had been evading arrest and was believed to have fled the country. The suspect was arrested in Togo and handed over to Ghanaian authorities on May 14, 2025.

The suspect, also known by several aliases, was wanted for a string of high-profile robberies carried out between 2022 and 2024 in various elite residential areas in Accra. The Ghana Police Service had been actively pursuing the suspect, and a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Bucha District Court on September 5, 2024. He was subsequently listed on Interpol’s red notice.

According to DCOP Lydia Yaako Donko, said, the Togolese Authorities
The Ghana Police Service worked closely with the Togolese authorities to track down and apprehend the suspect. On January 30, 2025, the Togolese authority successfully arrested the suspect in Lome, and after completing the necessary judicial and administrative processes, he was handed over to Ghanaian authorities on May 14, 2025.

The successful apprehension of the suspect highlights the importance of regional cooperation in tackling transnational crime and bringing offenders to justice. The Ghana Police Service wishes to thank the Togolese authorities, Interpol Lome, and officials of the Ghana embassy in Togo for their invaluable support and collaboration in this operation.

She said, the suspect is currently assisting with investigations, and the Ghana Police Service assures the general public that they will continue to work tirelessly to ensure justice is served.
