The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, celebrated the 2025 National Farmers’ Day in Amuni, emphasizing her commitment to improving rural development and delivering equitable progress. The event brought together traditional leaders, farmers, and government officials to recognize the contributions of farmers and discuss key development issues affecting the community.

Hon. Gyan Cudjoe highlighted the infrastructure gaps in Amuni, including poor roads, lack of electricity, and inadequate water systems. She announced plans to address these issues, including drilling new boreholes and installing poly tanks to improve water access. The MP also emphasized the need for electricity meters, improved communication networks, schools, and health facilities.

The government has pledged support for these initiatives, with ongoing major road projects, including the 50 km Bordie-Asankragua road and the 53 km stretch from Asankragua to Wassa and Agyakaamanso to Sefwi Bekwai. These projects mark a significant milestone in the development of Amenfi Central, with Hon. Gyan Cudjoe assuring residents of the government’s commitment to opening up the constituency for growth.

Hon. Gyan Cudjoe’s efforts have also focused on promoting agriculture, with initiatives such as the $5 million farming project aimed at empowering women and creating jobs.

The project will provide training and resources for vegetable farming, benefiting 10 communities in the constituency.
