"Put Politics Aside" – Nsawam Chief Tasks MP And MCE To Work Together

The Chief of Nsawam, Okokroko Nana Kwamena Ansah I, has appealed to the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh, and Municipal Chief Executive, *Hon. Selorm Fummey*, to set aside politics and focus on developing the municipality.

Speaking at the Adae Butuuw ceremony to announce the traditional ban on noise-making, Nana Kwamena Ansah I said unity between leaders was key to progress.

“You are both sons of this land. Do not let political differences break what should bring us together. The people of Nsawam need development, not division,”_ he stated.

The Chief also urged the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly to quickly elect a Presiding Member, describing the role as vital for the smooth running of Assembly business.

Nsawam Deputy Police Commander, ASP Emelia Adzeman, who was present, advised residents to respect the ban on noise-making. She warned that anyone who engages in crime during the period will face the law.

“We need everyone’s cooperation to keep peace in Nsawam during this sacred period and after,”_ she said.

Responding, *Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh* assured the Chief and residents of his commitment to work with all stakeholders for the good of Nsawam.

“Our focus must be on development, not party colors. I am ready to work with the MCE and everyone to build a better Nsawam,”_ the MP pledged.

The Adae Butuuw signals the start of the period of silence ahead of the area’s traditional festivities.
