Ghana’s future is being mined away, and it’s happening in plain sight! Over 1.9 million children are currently trapped in various forms of child labour across the nation, with a staggering 1.2 million enduring extremely hazardous conditions that threaten their very survival. 
Illegal mining, locally known as Galamsey, is a key driver of this crisis, stealing childhoods, devastating our environment, and destroying countless lives. We simply cannot stand by and watch this injustice continue; it’s time for all of us to make a firm stand.
Join us at the National NGO Forum, “Poisoned Playground: Ending Child Labour in Galamsey,” where we’ll unite NGOs, CSOs, community leaders, and the general public to forge actionable solutions. Together, we can end this horrific crisis and reclaim our children’s futures.
