ASPIRING CONSTITUENCY CHAIRMAN ASSURES TO WIN NKAWKAW SEAT FOR NDC FOR THE FIRST TIME

The Chairman of the Nkawkaw Constituency Youth Working Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Bakira Tahiru, has assured that he will lead the party to win the Nkawkaw parliamentary seat for the first time if elected as Constituency Chairman.

Mr. Tahiru gave the assurance after successfully submitting his nomination forms at the Nkawkaw Constituency party office to contest the upcoming constituency chairmanship election.

He promised that he and his supporters would run a clean campaign devoid of insults and violence, and advised supporters of other aspirants to do same.

According to him, the party needs to be united before and after the internal elections, stressing that internal elections should strengthen rather than divide the party.

He emphasized the importance of unity, discipline and teamwork in rebuilding the party in the Nkawkaw constituency.

Mr. Tahiru indicated that internal elections are not about too much talking and shouting but hard work. He said he has worked hard for the party over the years and is hopeful that delegates will reward his hard work by voting massively for him.

He pointed out that he has impacted the lives of many within the constituency and is optimistic of winning the election to make the party more attractive, especially to non-party members and floating voters.

Moreover, Mr. Tahiru called for unity and mutual understanding among members, adding that without unity it would be extremely difficult to achieve the aims and objectives of the party.

He said preparations towards the 2028 general elections must begin from the constituency level to contribute to the party’s national electoral success.

Mr. Tahiru served as branch secretary for several years, campaign manager for the 2016 elections and financed the 2020 and 2024 campaigns, among other party activities.
