A tourism experience designed to bring women together for relaxation and networking has also delivered a lasting environmental benefit to one of Ghana’s emerging tourist destinations.

Hakhnasah Pinnacle Hospitality and Tourism Consultancy on Saturday organized its “Girlcation in the Falls” event at Adom Water Falls in Obosomase in the Eastern Region, bringing together women from different professional backgrounds for recreation, wellness, networking, and cultural exploration.

Beyond the social activities, the event carried a broader message about responsible tourism and environmental sustainability.

As part of the programme, the consultancy firmed donated dustbins to the management of Adom Water Falls to support efforts aimed at improving waste management and preserving the natural beauty of the attraction.
Speaking during the presentation, the Lead Consultant of Hakhnasah Pinnacle, Mrs. Afua Taylor Ashie, emphasized that tourism should extend beyond leisure and entertainment.

*”Tourism should leave destinations better than we found them. Every visitor and stakeholder has a responsibility to protect the natural attractions that make Ghana unique,”* she said.

According to her, the Girlcation initiative was created to encourage women to explore Ghana’s tourism destinations while promoting wellness, professional networking, and environmental responsibility.

The management of Adom Water Falls welcomed the donation, describing it as a timely contribution that would support efforts to maintain cleanliness at the facility and improve the experience of both local and international visitors.
Participants took part in guided tours, team-building activities, photography sessions, and networking engagements while enjoying the scenic landscape of the falls.

Hakhnasah Pinnacle says it intends to roll out similar initiatives across the country, combining tourism experiences with community impact projects and environmental stewardship.

The event reflects a growing recognition within Ghana’s tourism industry that sustainable tourism is not only about attracting visitors but also about protecting destinations and creating positive benefits for host communities.
