The Project Manager for ADB Medical Scan Lab Limited, Mr. Abraham Fiscian, has disclosed that the Cath Lab project at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is 100 percent complete and currently in operation.

He said ADB Medical Scan Lab Limited specializes in the supply and installation of high-end medical equipment and building of healthcare facilities across the country.

Mr. Fiscian explained that the current project is a three-site project located at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Tamale Teaching Hospital, as part of government’s intervention to provide Cath Lab facilities across the country.

Speaking at Korle-Bu during a visit by the Parliamentary Subcommittee on Health, he said for the Korle-Bu site, there was an existing facility that got burnt and had to be replaced.

According to him, when they came to replace it, the available space was not enough, so they had to re-engineer the space before the equipment was supplied and installed.

He noted that all works have been completed, commissioned in June, and the facility is currently in operation.

Mr. Fiscian added that his company has a one-year equipment maintenance agreement and will be available for the next 12 months to address any technical or building challenges.

He assured that they have all the expertise in the country to handle any maintenance challenge and their response time has been good.
