The Bishop of the Methodist church Ghana, northern Accra diocese, RT Rev. Andrew Mbeah Baiden, has expressed concern over the destruction of the country’s forest and water bodies, calling on the government to take urgent action. The church emphasizes that the dimension of environmental degradation has attained is now threatening the nation’s very existence and eroding its sovereignty.

He, the church highlights the destruction of forest and water bodies, which is having a devastating impact on the environment and the nation’s resources.

:Illegal Activities: The church notes that people from other countries are easily entering the country and engaging in illegal practices with impunity, often with the help of some locals.

:Road Network: He added that, the church also urges the government to improve the road network, particularly alternative routes, to ease pressure on main roads and make traveling more comfortable.
