TAI JI THE PERFECT HARMONY HEALTH PRESERVATION.
Health preservation in a way of Tai Ji has a long standing history. It has seen tremendous development into Taoist art and gradually fused ito traditional medicine of China influencing health preservation.
The basic component of Tai Ji health preservation and enhancement is the preservation of the vital essence of the body popularly called Qi in Chinese language. It is just like an atom but Qi commands all aspects of the human body.
Its colourless, formless, invisible and untouchable. Flowing both in and out , up and down, and stimulating and promoting body operation. Defending and directing the correct and constant flow of vital energy to check and control diseases.
Tai Ji diagram explains how diseases occur as less Qi, Excessive Qi, Sinking Qi, Collapse of Qi, Depression of Qi, Stagnation of Qi, Counter flow of Qi and Obstruction of Qi. Each of these state of Qi produces its relevant symptoms.
Therefore, one must note here that to preserve health one must first preserve the vital energy.
This is the basics for a sound foundation for both physical and mental functioning of all organs and tissues in the body.
Specifically this vital essence or Qi in simple terms can be explained or can be witnessed in symptoms as follows.
When Qi is deficient one experiences cold hands and feet. Dizziness and lack of strength, pale complexion Anorexia and weakness.
Qi abnormal defending shows low appetite, distension, dripping or falling and diarrhoea. Qi escaping means the absence of vital energy.
Shows symptoms like shallow breath, vertigo, paleness, cold hands and feet. Weak pulse and hyperhidrons.
When Qi is stucked it represents anxiety, anger and unhappiness.
Patients may show impatience, bitter taste especially early in the morning. Throat and eye dryness constipation and many more.
When Qi is obstructed in its movement. Patients may experience swellings, pains at muscle and joints. A disordered Qi means a sudden rise and decline of it.
Patients may experience cough, Asthma, nausea, vomit, regurgitation and sometimes faint.
The above explanations gives rise to the importance of promoting and maintaining a sound physical and mental through new radical guarantee of a stable and normal functioning of Qi in relation to organs and tissues inside the body.
Scientifically this flow of vital energy explains the pathological changes and disease advancement in the human body and accordingly provides diagnosis and treatment.
So its important to note here that this whole balance of vital energy lies in the factthat the heart is kept in good condition.
It is only when the heart is in a sound state and not disturbed by the trifles of life can ones vital essence be unobstructed and defend diseases. So comes the term Nursing Of The Spirit. The root of vital energy is the spirit.
Where here spirit means spark, emotion, mood, temperament etc. Because its directly related to health. No wonder all long living beings have good and stable emotion.
Finally, let me concluded on how some humam extreme emotions sways the body out of balance with corresponding to its internal organs affected.
Extreme anger affects the liver. Joy to the heart. Pensiveness to the spleen. Grief to the lungs and fear to the kidney.
