"Tesa Family Fires Back at Regimanuel Gray Limited Over Land Dispute: 'False Claims and Misinformation'"

The Numo Kofi Anum Family of Tesa has issued a scathing rejoinder to Regimanuel Gray Limited’s recent publication, which falsely claims that the judgment in favour of the family has been stayed. The family asserts that Regimanuel’s claims are not only false but also misleading and legally untenable.
The Supreme Court of Ghana has affirmed that the Tesa Family is the lawful and allodial owner of over 918.24 acres of land, which includes 123.2088 acres currently occupied by Regimanuel Gray Limited. The judgment has already been executed, with the family taking possession of vacant portions of the land through Court bailiffs.
The family emphasizes that the judgment has already been executed, and any purported stay of execution granted after this enforcement cannot apply retroactively. A search at the Registry of the High Court confirms that execution was levied before any application for stay was entertained.
The Court found that land titles relied upon by Regimanuel Gray Limited were wrongfully issued by the Nungua Stool, a party that had already lost ownership of the land in the Supreme Court. The Court held that only the Tesa Family can grant valid title over the said land.
The 12-month stay of execution granted by the Court was not a relief from liability but a gesture of equity and fairness aimed at allowing Regimanuel to negotiate in good faith with the family and make payment at market value. Regrettably, Regimanuel failed or refused to engage in any meaningful negotiations during this period.
:The Family’s Position
The Tesa Family reaffirms that:
1.They are the undisputed allodial owners of the 918.24 acres, including the area unlawfully occupied by Regimanuel;
2.The Supreme Court judgment in their favour remains binding and has not been overturned or stayed.
3.They are no longer interested in any settlement negotiations with Regimanuel.
4.They will pursue all lawful means to enjoy the full fruits of their judgment.
The Tesa Family’s statement highlights the importance of lawful ownership and the implications of court judgments in land disputes. The family remains committed to due process and the rule of law and will continue to assert and protect its legally established rights. The public is advised to disregard the false claims and misleading publications by Regimanuel Gray Limited.
