“The G Concept and Royal Avenue International School Join Forces to Promote Menstrual Health and Hygiene in Adolescents”
In a significant step towards promoting menstrual health and hygiene among adolescents, The G Concept, founded by Gloria Dordunu, recently partnered with Royal Avenue International School to educate young girls about the Menstrual Cycle and Personal Hygiene during the school’s Hygiene Week.
The interactive session, dubbed “Understanding your Menstrual Cycle as an Adolescent” , designed for girls aged 11-15, aimed at empowering young minds with essential knowledge about their bodies, through engaging discussions, visual aids, and hands-on activities, the girls learned about the Female Reproductive System,the Menstrual cycle, and the importance of Personal Hygiene.
The session covered a range of topics, including understanding the menstrual cycle and its calculation, practicing good hygiene with a focus on skin care, and embracing healthy habits during menstruation.
This approach not only empowered the young girls but also encouraged them to take control of their health and well-being.
