LET'S UNITE, STRENGTHEN AND INTENSIFY GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION TO MAINTAIN POWER – INCOMING FANTEAKWA SOUTH CHAIRMAN

The incoming Fanteakwa South NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr. Agyekum Dampare*, has emphasized the need for a stronger leadership structure and called on party members and supporters to unite and intensify grassroots mobilisation to maintain power in the 2028 general elections.

He made the statement after officially submitting his nomination forms together with all aspiring team members contesting various constituency-level executive positions, and after successfully going through the vetting process in Fanteakwa South.

Speaking after the vetting, Mr. Dampare expressed his team’s commitment and readiness to serve the party and stressed the importance of unity, teamwork and dedication in strengthening party structures within the Fanteakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region.

He seized the opportunity to appeal to delegates for their votes, asking for the mandate to serve, with the objective of working relentlessly to secure the Fanteakwa South Parliamentary Seat and to position the NDC for victory in future elections.

According to Mr. Dampare, the NDC must work harder to maintain and improve its political strength in the constituency, following what he described as increasing efforts to gain more influence in the area. He further encouraged party supporters to engage effectively to build a stronger, more united and vibrant constituency party.

He stressed that his leadership would focus on rebranding the party, strengthening internal structures and empowering the grassroots, while pledging his commitment, cooperation and effective leadership to contribute towards the success of the NDC.

He said victory in Fanteakwa South will be achieved through teamwork, effective organization and empowerment of branch executives to secure victory in the 2028 elections.

Mr. Dampare noted that his campaign will be built around three key objectives: *“Establishment of a Life Insurance Welfare Scheme for Fanteakwa South NDC members, Building of a Constituency Office, and Resetting Fanteakwa South”* if elected into office.

He called on all NDC faithful in Fanteakwa South to remain committed, united and dedicated as the party prepares for the political journey ahead, and urged the youth to actively participate in the party’s mobilisation drive, emphasizing that their involvement plays a significant role in expanding the party’s support base.

Finally, on her part, Mrs. Shirley Naana Osei Ampem, vetting committee member and Eastern Regional NDC Women Organizer, appealed to aspirants to advise their supporters to run a clean campaign to enhance peace and unity before, during and after the elections, since it is an internal election, and to reserve their energies for the main battle against their main opponent, the NPP, in the 2028 elections.
