Ghana is set to play host to a landmark international conference marking the 80th anniversary of the 5th Pan-African Congress, a pivotal event in the continent’s struggle for independence and self-determination.

The conference, themed “From Historical Memory to Economic and Political Justice-Uniting Pan-African Progressive Forces,” will bring together prominent African scholars and intellectuals, including Comrade Irvin Jim and Professor Akua Britwum, to discuss critical issues affecting Africa and the Caribbean.

The conference will cover key topics such as the continuation of the national liberation struggle in Africa, the consolidation of national independence, the development of a framework for continental unity based on anti-imperialism, the struggle for reparative justice, and the development and application of a new model of economic and social development to free Africa from neocolonialism.

The conference aims to provide a platform for Pan-Africanists to share ideas, experiences, and strategies for promoting economic and political justice in Africa, with the expected outcome being a declaration of commitment to the Pan-African cause and a roadmap for future actions.
